Hi, I’m Katie!
Moving from Charlotte, North Carolina to London completely changed the way I experienced travel. Living on this side of the Atlantic gave me the opportunity to explore Europe in a way that simply wouldn’t have been possible from home — and travel quickly became a big part of my life.
These days, much of that travel happens with my husband and our four children. From city breaks and European adventures to figuring out trains, flights, hotels and activities with little ones in tow, I’ve learned that the details can make a huge difference to how a trip feels.
Those experiences have taught me that great travel isn’t necessarily about seeing or doing everything. It’s about finding the right balance for the people you’re traveling with, making the logistics work, and leaving room to enjoy the experience.
After years of planning trips for my own family, friends and family, I decided to turn that passion into something more. That’s how KO Transatlantic came about — a way for me to combine my love of travel with my experience on both sides of the Atlantic and help other people plan trips they’ll genuinely enjoy.
I believe the best trips are the ones that give us something to remember long after we get home. I’m drawn to experiences that let us really see a place — whether that’s wandering through a European city, hiking in the mountains, relaxing on a beautiful beach or exploring somewhere new as a family.
I’m also a big believer in making travel work for real life. That means finding good value without automatically choosing the cheapest option, building an itinerary that isn’t unnecessarily complicated, and making sure there’s a good balance between seeing and doing and having time to simply enjoy where we are.
Traveling with four kids has taught me plenty about flexibility, logistics and knowing when a plan needs to change! Those experiences influence the way I approach the trips I plan for my clients, too.
Travel planning should feel personal. I want to understand what matters to you and help create a trip that feels right for you—not simply put together an itinerary and send you on your way.
As an American who has lived in London for 15 years, I bring perspective from both sides of the Atlantic to the trips I plan.
My own travels — from European adventures and family trips to cruises and beach getaways — influence the way I plan for my clients.
I enjoy figuring out the logistics, connecting the different pieces and finding options that make sense for the way you want to travel.
You can ask questions, talk through your ideas and know there’s a real person on the other end helping you navigate the options.
